Acupuncture works wonderfully alongside other forms of care!
In fact, sometimes the best results come from combining different approaches to support your body's healing and recovery.
Chiropractic Care
Some of my patients find that receiving acupuncture before a chiropractic adjustment helps their muscles relax, making adjustments feel more comfortable and effective. If you're planning to receive both treatments, I generally recommend scheduling your chiropractic appointment after acupuncture, ideally within a few days of each other. Even better, we share an office with Helix Chiropractic and Sports Clinic, making it easy to coordinate your care and enjoy the convenience of multiple services in one location.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapy can be hard work. Whether you're recovering from an injury, working to improve mobility, or building strength, acupuncture can be a helpful addition to your routine. Sometimes tight, tense, or overworked muscles can make physical therapy exercises more challenging and can sometimes make them feel impossible. Maybe certain muscles just aren't firing the way they should, or you're having trouble getting past a frustrating plateau. This is where acupuncture may be able to help! I often recommend scheduling acupuncture between physical therapy sessions to help address muscle tension and support your progress. You may also find it beneficial to continue acupuncture after completing physical therapy to maintain your progress and keep your body feeling its best.
